SARAH HORNE AIFD
Award-winning florist wins silver-gilt at Chelsea and first in public’s eye
Sarah Horne of Sarah Horne Flowers has won her fourth medal at the world
famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2009.
Sarah, who has a shop in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, won the medal for her
creative hat design, which was briefed to be flamboyant and organic.
The designer, teacher, demonstrator and writer has been in the industry for
27 years, and her experience was duly noted by visitors to the show, who voted
for Sarah’s design as their favourite out of the whole range of 15 designs.
Sarah said:”It is great to be awarded a medal by the judges at such a
prestigious show but totally fantastic to be voted the public’s choice.”
The busy show season continues for Sarah with demonstrating at Hampton Court
Flower Show for the Flowers & Plants Association and working on the team of
designers creating the stand for the Society of Floristry.
Botanical Art: For your Eyes Only, a book of floral design, has been co-written
by Sarah and will launch later this year.
